whitefire Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Five months ago, my long-time girlfriend left me for another guy. I was pretty broken when it happened, because I really loved this girl and we were together for years. I didn't see the breakup coming at all. It took me a while to get past her. Despite some friends trying to hook me up, I haven't even looked at other girls after the breakup, let alone date. That changed the other night. My roommates had a small party at our place. There was one girl there that didn't really strike me at first, but we started talking and I began to like her a lot. Time seemed to go by really fast, so I can't remember exactly what was said, but when we were talking about a particular pub that not a lot of people go to, she said something like, "We should totally go there sometime." I don't know if she was just exaggerating or if was the alcohol talking and she really wouldn't want to see me sometime, but at the time I took that and other things she said and did as attraction towards me. Unfortunately, I've been out of the loop so long that I'm an idiot with girls and didn't get her number or make any plans. Since she's a friend of my roommate, should I talk to him about it and see if he can give me her number? I'm sorry if this seems so elementary, but this is the first girl in a very long time that I've had any interest in, so I'm a little lost...not to mention I'm not feeling the best I ever had about girls, even 5 months after the breakup, but I'm ready to fully move on and meet other people, and I want to start with this girl.
nothappyjan Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I think that is a good plan and totally reasonable. Good luck!
