Been seeing this girl for 4 months now and things are going great for the both of us. I have no doubt of that, we're both very much in love. We have talked about long term commitment, living together or getting married.

We are however are slightly different in some small ways, she is a traveller and she is happiest when she is planning for a trip or exploring someplace new. Which is no problem. With her travelling she has some debt around $15,000 which she is currently working 30 hours a week at mimuim wage to work off. Because of this debt she is living with her parents again to help save money. Which again is no problem for me. She feels stressed about living with her parents and not being able to travel somewhere.

We spent part of the weekend together and she said that she has been offered a job teaching English overseas for a year and is thinking about taking it and wanted to know my thoughts. We were with other people and we never really had a chance to talk about it and I wanted time to think about it.

She doesn't want to break up, but wants to try a long distance relationship.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, on the one hand I don't want to selfish and say that if you leave it's over because I don't want to take that opportunity away from her, On the other a year is a hell of a long time and things can happen in that year that changes our relationship. I mean maybe we can do a long distance relationship and it will work, but then again maybe it won't and it will just be too hard for one or both of us.

Thoughts?
