Let's say you had a story with a girl but nothing very important, passionate but just a fling. You stop the sex because passion was not there anymore, you have a very serious gf and you got the vibe she has feelings for you. Why trying so hard to be friends and share personal stuff? Why would you care so much about her ? Let's be realistic you were seeing here around once every month / two months so it is not like you know each other that much and she an important person in your life .. Just to be clear sex is NOT involved anymore.
