Ilikerainydays Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I was introduced to this guy through a friend of mine. He seemed like a nice guy but at the time I was not interested in dating anyone. He pursued me for close to 6 months and I recently decided to hang out with him. I was surprised that I really enjoyed myself. The next day I talked to my friend who had originally tried to set us up and she was excited, she said she had talked to him as well and he had a lot of fun. So we have hung out a few times since and again had more fun. However he is confusing me! Some days I won't hear from him at all others I will. We've only hung out 3 times and only once one on one. When we do talk it's never via phone call it's always texting and we will have a convo going then he will randomly stop writing back to me. I don't feel like he's making much of an effort even though he chased me for 6 months yet he tells our friend he is enjoying time with me. What is his deal? Does he not like me enough? Or am I expecting too much from him so soon?
Damien Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Well, he did pursue you for 6 months, yikes . Maybe texting seems more natural for him? How about trying to call HIM once or twice, maybe that'll get you to start calling each other more often. I think you should just be a little more patient, he doesn't seem like a bad guy at all, maybe a little inexperienced.

I don't want to overwhelm him or end up harassing him if he doesn't like me. I'm new to getting back into dating after a long term relationship ended about a year ago so I feel like this is all new to me. Why do guys send mixed signals? Is it that he is just being shy or is he just using me as an ego booster basically?

She probably calls him for the booty call which could explain why he randomly stops texting you. He probably didnt tell your friend about this woman. So basically, hes not that interested.
