Tomo_Tsu Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Is there anyone on here that suffers from a form of IBD or Crohn's Disease? I was recently diagnosed..so far I think it could be going into remission. I think it would be good to maybe create a support group if you will through this thread for those that suffer from Crohn's and other auto-immune diseases.
tman666 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 First of all I'd like to extend my sympathies. Crohn's disease is not an easy pill to swallow. My mother has Crohn's, and I've seen it take its toll on her. Not a fun thing. However, she has taken steps to lessen the side effects, some of which include medicine infusions (sorry, I don't know exactly which kind), various meds, and adhering to a fairly strict diet of gluten free and low-inflammatory foods. I'll try to find out more from her about exactly which diet she's on and what meds she takes; all of them have helped improve her condition immensely.
