lovelylisa Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 My ex and I had a very messy breakup a year ago, and our problems related to me not standing up for myself when he pointed out my flaws. We went through a "hooking up" only stage after we broke up. He moved interstate and I am now on the same side of the country as him and want to visit him in about 5 weeks after the summer for a few days. I know I should leave what's in the past, in the past, but part of me wants to show him I've changed because I feel like he ended with the "power" and that made it difficult for me to move on. Should I work on myself, then show him the new Me? Or should I just let it go and NC?
wilsonx Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 the only person that has to know has changed is yourself. if your ex did not love you the way you were then thats his fault. you should not have to change for anyone. I loved my ex for who she was not her flaws. I was willing to work around them but in the end i ended up being hurt stick to NC... if he wanted to see that youve changed he would do everything in his power to do so. STOP HOOKING UP WITH AN EX... STOP STOP STOP STOP you are only hurting yourself
