nice-easy-day Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) What is it with women and not being able to go from one task to the next without getting distracted? Let me illustrate. Her: lets go watch that movie Me: ok I'll go put it in (I sit waiting on the couch for 10 minutes) honey, are you coming or not? Her: yeah I'll be right there, just had to reply to this message on facebook. or Her: let's go for a walk Me: ok, (I wait outside for 10 minutes) honey, what were you doing? Her: I just wanted to water the plants. I know it sounds little but she does this ALL THE TIME and it FRUSTRATES me to no end. Am I the only one? There must be a way to break this habit of hers. It puts me in a bad mood. Edited June 29, 2011 by nice-easy-day
Eddie Edirol Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Sounds to me like shes looking for reasons to get away from you. I dunno what the real reason is, but you can usurp her ADD by doing this: Her: lets go watch that movie Me: Ok, put it in (as you go back to what you were doing) Her: let's go for a walk Me: ok, figure out where you want to go and let me know when youre ready (as you go back to what you were doing) If you dont expect her to follow through, dont lead her. Let her lead.
Author nice-easy-day Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 Yeah I've tried that and it does work. But if I'm at her apartment it isn't like there are a whole lot of projects for me to be working on. If we were living together in a house I'm sure I could keep myself occupied. Most of the time we have a few hours together on date night and it just jabs me when other stupid things she can do when I'm not there are so important.
