Yes, this is certain. It was compared to heroin in an article I read. It's all about mind control.
HeartOfAPhoenix Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I agree, the more time, effort, and love you put into a relationship is basically your drug/commitment to the other person. once you take away the other person it is like taking away all that time, effort and love. when this happens the dumpee will then fight off the withdrawals and try to either reconcile and get all of that back, or they will place all of it elsewhere. which would also explain how rebounds work, the dumpee (and sometimes dumper) tries to continue the past relationship with another person. placing all of their hard work from the past relationship onto the new one which is why it usually doesn't work for the long term. Like I've said before... It's like when someone is trying to quit smoking. they will usually chew gum, suck on a lolipop, eat junk food, or even go for a walk when they have a craving. they don't just do this to take their mind off of the cigarette, they do this to replace an old habit with a healthy one.
Geya Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Yes I remember going through withdrawal serious withdrawal, but I came back healthier and stronger at the other side, keep that love but just turn it into yourself, love yourself take care of yourself, don't ever feel kill the love, just direct it correctly
