adam029 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 ok, my LD gf broke up with me about 5 weeks ago, she officially ended via text (very weak i know) it was all due to the fact that she couldnt cope with the long distance thing anymore (she wanted to all the couple things etc. see me all the time and go on dates) but i live in another country, so very difficult, we have not contacted each other since the break up..... i booked a flight way back in january to go and see her first week of july (in the meantime ive organised an alternative vacation, i wasnt going to let her destroy my vacation), here is the question should i send her a friendly text message when i get there asking if she wanted to catch up for a drink or something to eat? i still hav strong feelings for her and love her very much, i feel like i need some closure but i live in hope that we can sort some things out...

But only if you are strong enough to do it with the knowledge that you guys are no more than friends and the possibility that she may reject the idea entirely. Dont go there talking about your relationship or begging for another chance but with the total mindset that you are just friends and you are happy the way things and you just wanted to get together to see how she is doing. I dont know how long and serious your relationship was but after five weeks you might have to prepare yourself for the fact that she could be seeing someone else. But if its someone you still care about then you shouldnt hesitate to at least see them and at the very least you will leave there with some closure.
Author adam029 Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 we were together for 8 months, it was like love at first sight, we could always be ourselves around eachother.....perfect together, if only it wasnt for the distance....she couldnt even bate to hear my voice to tell me its over....im sure she still has feelings for me....good luck to her if shes seeing someone else, she would be only with him for the convenience of him living in the same state...i really have nothing to lose, ive given her space, it would be good to hear from her again....but if its meant to be, its meant to be....you just never know what can happen in this world...
