It is from ancient greek "orgia" which means "secret rites". The main and better known secret rites in ancient greece and in ancient Rome were held in honor of the divinities Bacchus and Demeter(goddess of fertility). All deities had their own though. We don't know a lot about them(wouldn't have been 'secret rites' otherwise, would they?) but some included wine and sexual activities. Some were pretty harsh. Looks like young men were evirated in secret rites dedicated to goddess Aphrodite(Venus).
