sweetlovinghoney Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I'm sure that most of us or at least some of us have heard somewhere or "learned" somewhere somehow that prolonged eye contact between a man and a woman is one of the main signs of interest or attraction. This is supposedly true if the eye contact is held a bit longer than usual. So I was wondering, generally speaking do guys believe in this little theory? Why or why not?
refurb Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I would say it's a good sign, but not 100% reliable. I've had girls stare at me and they weren't interested at all. I've had girls who purposefully avoided eye contact who were interested. I still subscribe to the theory that the only way you can know for sure is by asking someone out. RF
rafallus Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 No sign is 100% reliable. Best bet is that another person constantly finds reasons/excuses to make contact with you.

The only way to know for sure is to ask someone out. In your reply, you used the example of girls staring and not being interested at all and of girls who purposely avoid eye contact even when they're interested. But what would you say from a man's (I'm assuming you're a man) perspective? Do you think guys tend to do the same thing?
