wilsonx Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 This place has been amazing. Everybody here has been helpful to me and hopefully I have helped a lot of people myself from various posts that I've personally have experience with to where I stole information such as Getting Past Your Breakup Book by Susan Elliott (GREAT BOOK BY THE WAY) I'm reading it a 2nd time through to finish absorbing all the knowledge... For those of you that do not know, my ex has GIGS and I mean big time GIGS, she left me so she could party with a 37 year old coworker shes 23 who has never had the college life cus hes a cook. This actually happened 4 weeks ago to this day when she broke up with me because i caught her at a bar with him. I finally have locked down NC after on/off/on/off/on/off Im on Day 3 and I have had no urge for any reason whatsoever to talk to my ex. She has tried to string me along as a friend / safety net and continues to play mindgames with both my roommate and I so she can continue being friends with me. I set clear boundaries to her, changed my number, blocked her email addresses, facebook etc Ive started going out a lot and meeting new people. I value my time to myself to read and better myself every monday and wednesday at Barnes and Noble. I workout 4 days a week. I started country line dance lessons for Free Tues nights. I play kickball Thursday nights. I talk to everyone I see and am working on expanding my friends circle. Ive finally gotten to the point where I do not have to talk about my ex to people anymore. I am consistently at the anger phase everyday and it hurts a lot but when Im out doing something fun and exciting, it goes away. My roommate is actually going through the same thing right now so we use each other to repeat the same stories to all the time and we see its getting old haha So I'm going to take a week to myself now that I have the ball rolling and I hope you all are as successful as I will be when I return
