LOL! I seriously doubt it. I never would have had been able to go through with it. And I have way too much pride.

Fear is a terrible thing.

Or a good thing since it would have inhibited you.

Something like this then?

GAK!!! Thanks man, what a horrible video.

The fashion is close, but try to google Korean fashion, or taiwanese fashion. I guess thats closer to home. Japanese fashion in google search tends to be a little more radical than what I see in the blogs here. Or maybe just what I actually notice

I bet most women would have no qualms with posting such a pic if they lived in an area that is a beach community like California or FL, right?

I live in California, not too terribly far from the ocean.

I'm in bikinis a lot. I've been surfing, diving, and swimming my entire life.

In hot weather, I routinely walk around the house in them.

Yet, posting a pic of myself in a 2 piece feels like attention seeking to me.

If one wants to communicate that she's fit, you can do so in a regular outfit.

Wow, that's suprising, considering you practically live ina bikini, or shorts and bikini top around the house.

I guess if you were to put up a profile, you probably think, "Crap, better cover up before I take a pic" lol

Aww I love that video. They are so cute and it encapsulates what it is to be a teenager.

:D Well, it's only part of the year when I favor bikinis. There are plenty of other pics I could choose from.

But then you would have to go through the inconvenience of putting on real clothes. Wouldn't it be more comfortable just staying in your underwear?

I wouldn't do it no matter what the setting. Like Rinnix said, that's just inviting more creep-mail.

See it as a public service. You draw away all the creeps while normal women have a chance with normal men.

No I wouldn't post one. It would attract the wrong type of men. I wouldn't be looking for a ONS or FWB.

Women get enough sleazy messages, add a bikini and you're just taking in a truckload of terrible mail.

I like the way I look in a bikini, men want to see? They can go to the beach with me instead.

Exactly. Even if your pictures are the most decent pictures there are, you still get horny messages in your inbox. So no bikini pictures, even if I still have the body for such a picture.

BTW, what's up with all the men who put pictures up in their swim trunks on dating sites? Don't they understand that a little subtlety is appreciated? I don't need to see almost everything before I have met you in person and have got to know you a bit better guys. Too much way too soon!

Here is a typical , tasteful bikini shot of a woman's "day at the beach"

Nothing necessarily wrong with it, she looks fantastic, great smile...but...I suppose you ladies would not even do this kind of pic?

It's not like she's making kissy faces at the camera or "posing" sexy.....beleive me I've seen my share.

But was jsut wondering.

Back when I used them, I didn't resort to any swimwear. If you're there to get sex or to have a casual relationship, that's fine. If you're looking for a long-term relationship, usually that's not what you want to advertise.

I had friends who would only post pictures of themselves if their cleavage was visible at all times. It just comes off looking trashy and obvious. OK, we get it - you're female. You have boobs. Congrats. Now, what else is worthwhile about you?

I've seen some women who claim to be models part-time, and they sometimes put their portfolio pics up (yes, these include swimsuit shots).

You're so funny. Do you spend all day browsing and critiquing online profiles? Too bad you can't get paid for it. Is the bikini shot really that common?

I think it's weird and is simply inviting the wrong kind of attention (which women will apparently get anyway). So no, the pic you posted, if on a dating site, wouldn't be considered tasteful at all (to me). I'm already super paranoid men will only like me based on how I look, so I couldn't do it.

I won't even have pics of me at the beach in a bikini on FB (and I have a really good body). They might end up somewhere weird--like on some relationship forum ;)

yes, it's very common actually.....not even on FB? Guess you don't want all your guy FB friends getting a good look? lol

Great! When can we go? :lmao:

Oh darn my IPhone and messing up my previous quotes.

Thought you quoted my previous mention of the woman I saw on OKC in revealing clothing.

Me and you can go to the beach anytime! ;)

Then it's a date.

I have tons of "day at the beach" bikini shots on my facebook, but don't have enough room to add them to my dating profile... otherwise I would. I love my body. I don't take stupid bathroom mirror shots because I find them too trashy or too myspace-ish. Some of the pics I use for online dating are from modeling shoots... the rest are with friends/out and about.

I don't mind men who post flexing muscle/shirtless photos at all. Not only does it show their confidence, but it saves me the mystery of wondering what they look like without a shirt on. I don't like having the surprise of a hairy beer belly or something.

EEk. If I posted a photo of myself in a bikini, no way would I want to see the responses I would get. Just with what I have, once I got an email from some guy that said he put them on his screensaver and likes to *** watching them. I didn't even have anything racy on. I took my profile off for a while after that, it sicked me out.

The most I have is of me in a sports bra and running shorts, a race photo from a marathon. That has enough to show I'm in shape without trying to show it all off. I think a self portrait in a bikini would be desperate looking anyway.

I also don't like when men have self portraits with shirts off, etc. It looks cheap and is a turn off to me (esp when they aren't really even in shape, LOL).

I've done nude modeling for fun, but I'd never shove my sex appeal down anyone's throat because I'd feel that was 'trying too hard' and beneath me. Haha... sooooo out of touch with youth culture...

I can tell Rinnix isn’t in a bikini but the picture is sexy. You can even see her legs in the background. Yet no one is here blasting her. I mean why should they?(I think its fine) I think putting a good looking bikini up would attract the wrong kind of attention but I don’t think it would necessarily hurt your chances. Although its hard to say it would help but it could. I think people seem to quick to weigh in on this on the negative side.

In fairness to the posters of this thread, Rinnix changed her avatar after the bulk of people weighed in.

But, your point is still taken.
