Ouroboros Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 So today, a random stranger felt the need to be completely rude to me, and told me that I should get braces. What a nice guy... Now, I don't have a perfect straight smile, I have a tooth that pops up and is a bit funny, but my mouth is not like a train wreck. I also often have people who compliment my smile, and who think it's cute, regardless of the imperfect alignment. My teeth are like this girl pretty much (just my one tooth isnt that much pushed in as hers there.) http://i56.tinypic.com/2hgxq2r.png I keep them very white and clean, and I don't have any missing. I know that we are getting much more vain today, but it made me wonder, if I'm single, will having crooked teeth really stop my chances in getting a date? I don't know what's going to happen with my current relationship (thats another story), but now I don't know if theres people who would look past funny/imperfect teeth? If I were to meet someone off a dating site, would they be thrown off by my less than perfect teeth? (Its not like my photos can show them perfectly.) Would you date someone who didn't have a great straight smile? Something you need to understand. That girl is Reon Kadena and in Japan a snaggletooth or the fang is a bit of a fetish afaik. Face shape is more important anyways.
oaks Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Thanks oaks Anytime. .. I honestly think I'm going to buy some of those vampire fangs. Some people would find vampire fangs hotter than straight teeth, but I'll keep some garlic handy just in case.
Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 @Eeyore79 Should I be asking a dentist about this retainer? Last time I asked my dentist he told me ortho is the only solution for that tooth. Baww. And thanks! I know many others have it worse than me, and I always look to be greatful for what I have. It's just times like this when people purposely bring me down, gets me thinking negative. @Ouroboros I actually had searched up "yaeba". I know how crooked teeth is seen as adorable there. I honestly find that woman to be gorgeous, even her smile is cute. However, some would disagree.

This is a good one I posted awhile back. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/pgeoivb4bo1278517872.jpg/ You need to put some sort of avatar back up Rina because it makes it feel like you are dead and I don't recall any funeral.

Aww she's so cute! I have a thing for Asians. I would, but im in one of those phases where I hate all my pictures. I was also less active for awhile... Maybe ill find something cute to use as an avatar for the meantime.
Ouroboros Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Yeah you don't need to use a pic of yourself. It can be anything you like even your bambi avatars. I have never used a pic of myself.
Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Yeah maybe. Was afraid someone inrl would eventually find me on here.. that would be rather amusing. I'll find something for the mean time later anyway.. maybe I'll just put my bunny there, yeah Ill do that.
Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Threads going way off topic here. His name is shadow. He is a holland lop.. you would never guess, as he hardly ever lops his ears, only when he's relaxed. We have matching teeth though.
oaks Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Threads going way off topic here. Well, we've sorted out your teeth issues (you have none) so cute fluffy animals seem like the way forward. If only more threads here were like this one.

Did you really share something that embarassing? Threads going way off topic here. His name is shadow. Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 @ Oaks I think you're just being too nice to me. Fluffy animals are great. Just wish I could get more pics of the rabbit, he has black eyes so they bend into his fur. Making him look like he has no eyes. Did you really share something that embarassing? No, not really. But I did post in the more intimate boards, so those who are prudes and who know me, may be alarmed. Haven't posted anything to really get people going.. but you know how some people can be.

Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 So you applied white eye shadow to make his eyes pop... Around his eyes is actually a light grey. I could never imagine putting makeup on any animal, that'd be terrible.
Ouroboros Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Around his eyes is actually a light grey. I could never imagine putting makeup on any animal, that'd be terrible. Well the cosmetic companies supposedly do.
Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Well the cosmetic companies supposedly do. I know that they did test mascara on rabbits. But I'm unsure if it's still happening. Either way, this rabbit is safe from harm.
oaks Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 @ Oaks I think you're just being too nice to me. I'm sure you'll get over it.
Ross MwcFan Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I don't mind at all. I even think it can look kinda cute.
neowulf Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) Meh, I wouldn't let it get to you. People can be bastards. I've had braces, so my teeth are "perfect". Had a girl turn around to me once and say... wait for it. "Wow, your smile is the best thing about your face.. shame it's fake". *shrug* There are great people out there. I'm sure a little tooth out of place just makes you all the cuter Edited June 14, 2011 by neowulf
Art_Critic Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Id post a picture, but for some reason the camera works in my favor and never shows the flaws of my teeth. Well.. there ya go.. the camera is emulating what other people see... We sometimes while looking in a mirror will micro focus on something and other people don't notice. When your friend brought your teeth up he didn't do it because your teeth were bad and he could see them he focused on you and found something he could use to hurt you with.
Art_Critic Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I meant to edit and say random stranger .. I had typed friend in my post but can't edit it Sorry for the typo
Author Rinnix Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 I just don't see why people are so cruel to begin with. Id never bring someone down for appearances. If anything, Id compliment others on beauty instead. I never do harm to people, yet this always comes to me.
Ouroboros Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Life is a battle for supremacy. Only the strong may survive.
alethean Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I just don't see why people are so cruel to begin with. Id never bring someone down for appearances. If anything, Id compliment others on beauty instead. I never do harm to people, yet this always comes to me. Don't mind them. Some people are just miserable. I'm ashamed to say that when I'm not feeling great about myself, I notice more flaws in others' appearances. If they're people I know fairly well, I would notice flaws in their personality. Although I would never voice these perceived flaws out loud, thinking it helps me feel better when I am particularly insecure. Some people get a rush from being mean. Some of them have had a bad day and need to take it out on someone else. Most of the time when a stranger says something like that, it has more to do with their issues than with you. Now if an enemy of some sort said that to you, they're probably trying to get personal! haha.
