Have you ever or would you ever date somebody with the same first name as an ex?

DA, what a good subject. I seriously doubt I would ever consider dating a Mike or a Dave LOL

It's happened to me before.

At least you don't have to worry about shouting out the wrong name in bed! :D

My mom got re- married to a guy with the same name as my dad. Its kind of awkward but since I don't usually call my dad by his first name...

I think I'd have a problem if the name was associated with a bad breakup or divorce. Hard to say.

I dated a man for five years. When he and I broke our relationship off, I dated another man by the same name. I do not see a problem with it unless you associate something bad with the name. In my case I did not. However, I do not think that I would date a third guy by this name. ;)

I dated three Saras and two Lauras. A name is just a name. I might be a little uncomfortable if I were to date a girl named, say, Morgan, and then right after her date another girl named Morgan. Two same-names in a row would be a little interesting, but by no means bad at all.

Lets see here - I've dated 3 Jacquelines, 2 Michelles, 2 Jessicas and 2 Noelanis----- so yes, I would.

Noelanis is an unusual name, where are you from?

'Noelani' Hawaiian/Tahitian -- 'noe' = mist 'lani' = from heaven

'Noelani' = 'Mist from Heaven or Heavenly Mist'

Her full name -- Noelani Kawahio'kalani'i'ke'o malamalama Liana

Ha'aheo o' Hawaii -- 'Proud of Hawaii',

Someone in my family was married twice, Once to Bob Wilson, once to Dick Johnson... and strangely enough they both left her for women named Galdys. We tease her that if she ever get's married again it will be to John Smith, and she will never let him near anyone named Gladys.

I dated two guys named Gene, and a few guys named Mike, Dave, David... I can't recall dating too many guys with uncomon names... Except Marrik. Hmmm... Face there are just a lot of guys out there with good old fashioned common names. I never really associated anything bad with a name from my past, it's the person that counts...

It could be confusing for your friends and family though! Imagine breaking with up Dave or Jane (or whoever) one week, and then telling everyone what a great time you are having with (the new) Dave or Jane the next week! You'd get a few double takes there... "Huh? Wait up, I thought you'd finished with him/her" :p

I knew someone who ONLY dated guys named Dave. This is absolutely true. It was really freakin' strange.

I dated three Jim's in a row. (my dad's name was Jim too) A name is just a name or, to twist the bard, a stink weed by any other name would still stink!

I THINK I could...but I don't think I could date someone with my sister's name. Or any other close relative, really.

I would find it convenient to date guys all with the same name....at least you don't have to worry about using the wrong name at the wrong time!!!!
