Alot of players, macks, pick up artists etc make it sound like as a guy we can get almost any girl if we have good game and confidence. But can confidence and game get almost any girl? I know confidence is very important and you have to have some game (game being the ability to attract women using certain character traits charisma) but can it really get almost any girl? I kind of feel alot of it is bull$hit.

Nah, I doubt it. Sure, they make it seem like the right amount of game can get any girl, but there are times where confidence and game simply isn't enough. The woman just might not be attracted to you, regardless if you have good game and confidence.

I believe the reason they're implying that having superior technique can get any girl is likely because it'll motivate other men to work on their game to get better with women instead of giving up so easily.

Not at all. I think pick-up artists work on a statistical basis, so they use their confidence and gamemanship on a large number of women and on some of them these will work. PUAs don't mind being rejected quickly as they can move on and try again and again.

I think there's a lesson to be learned here, that any given guy shouldn't be too stuck on a particular woman especially if she gives no indication that she's interested, and also of course that confidence is attractive in a man. But I wouldn't envy PUAs at all. The kind of techniques they use won't attract quality women and certainly they won't be able to maintain a stable long-term relationship by playing mind games with them.

No, I don't think every guy has it in him to be a con artist.

Realistically, a good guy isn't going to be able to change his spots.

Not any girl, but a lot that's for sure!

You don't have to be handsome to be a player - if you're a fairly average looking guy then you can easily be a player if you're charming and confident. But if you're hideous and/or weird looking you can forget it; no amount of charm and confidence can make up for being ugly.

I must say, however, that the guys who are that ugly are in the minority; the vast majority of guys could be players if they wanted to. Also, even the guys who are that ugly can still find a woman or two who will be interested in them. Nobody is so ugly that absolutely nobody will be interested in them.

If you can pick up a girl, have sex with her, and kick her out of your bed after getting what you wanted without caring then you too can become a mack daddy.

I have seen some truly repulsive guys get women with little effort so yes any guy can be a player. It's about knowing how to get inside a woman's head.

You obviously haven't, or you'd realize that women are not nearly as looks-oriented as men. Yes, we like hot boys, but we like reliability, amusing personality and money more.

Seriously, you're all just talking out of your asses. A lot of women have poor taste, but we're not robots. There isn't a damn thing one of you Jersey Shore brotards could do to attract me. If you're not tall, good looking, confident, employed and smarter than Batman you can go **** a watermelon.

That's good to know.

Men don't care as much about looks as people think either. Somebody did it with the truly ugly women I see at the supermarket with 3 or 4 bad kids.

You don't even WANT to get almost any women, as many simply won't be compatible for you at all. Think of rejection as of her saying "I'm not good for you, look for someone else". So player? Nah, just the guy who meets a lot of women, sees if they match him, and if they do, then fun can commence.

I agree, based on looks alone, I'd do about half to 2/3 of girls around my age. Edited by rafallus
