Mr. Savage Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 My girlfriend and I and a bunch of our friends all went out drinking one night. She was in a real cranky mood and was not her usual self for a number of reasons (see below). Usually when we are toghether we are all over each other. She was very distant this particualr night. I kept trying to talk to her and hug her and be next to her but she continually protested. She was talking to all of our other friends but did not want to be around me. I kept drinking and was becoming annoyed that she would not communicate with me. When we arrived at a dance club she was out dancing with all our friends but she would not dance with me. I was really drunk at this point and became angry and jealous. I said things to her like "oh you can dance with everyone else but you cant dance with your own boyfriend!" I then stormed out of the club. Yeah I was being typical jealous drunk boyfriend. My behavior that night really pissed her off. She told me she came from a family where her father would drink and treat her like that and it brought out really painful memories. This made me feel HORRIBLE. I knew she came from a tough backround but wasnt aware of this. She thinks I have a problem with drinking. I drink once a week and usually am pretty laid back. Anyway she says this incident is part of our "break" for the time being. I do know how I'd act at seeing my gf dancing with other people, I'd storm out right away, otherwise I'd be either an insignificant wussy or a chauvinistic pig... take your pick... In my humble appreciation of this episode, both of you weren't your best yourselves, but I think you just reacted instead of being pissed off for the fun of it... as you are telling it, she was a total female dog, but maybe you should examine your acts previous to the incident in question? Anyway, let her breathe for a while, and above all take it easy on the wine, not for her, not for everybody but for yourself... believe it or not, chicks really dig guys who hold their liquor, or that I have been told...
