"she threw her best friend out the freaking window."

It's amazing, isn't it? The difference in perspective between she and he.

Yeah, I got all of those lines...you are better than me, it isnt me it is you, I probably got apologized to about 100 times, and then there was, you are my best friend and I hope that we can keep that. I repeatedly told her I would not just be her friend and she has repeatedly tried to make me be her friend. Then when I went NC, she started telling people that the experience was extremely painful because she lost the best friend she ever had. I just thought to myself that she is pretty pathetic because she didnt lose her best friend, she threw her best friend out the freaking window.

Oops, I meant one of those lines was "It isnt you, it is me" not "It isnt me, it is you".

My ex basically told me-

"It isn't me, its you"

:(

Because he told me how much happier he was without me in his life.

My ex told me this about 2-3 times a month during our 4 year relationship

Up until she cheated and left me for another guy, then it was all my fault and she was too good for me?

Her logic is as sparse as her new husbands hairline.

I've told two women this when splitting up. The first, I didn't love. The second, I did love but I had terrible fear of opening up / having sex with someone I did love (and that's a whole 'nother story). Suffice to say, it was me and it's taken me to the age of 37 to come to terms with this.
