They were shown a variety of computer-generated faces, manipulated to look either more masculine or feminine. Participants were asked to judge what facial type they were most attracted to. The results showed that most women favoured a feminised male face. But those who rated themselves as attractive were more drawn to classic masculine faces. Dr Tony Little, from the University of Liverpool's School of Biological Sciences, said: "Facial types indicate how a particular person might behave in a relationship and the potential benefits they could give to offspring. "A masculine face is linked to high testosterone levels, which demonstrates good genetic qualities. Those women who prefer masculine men are selecting genetic benefits for their children, despite the fact that high testosterone levels can also increase the likelihood that the male will have an affair. Those men with a feminine face tend to be associated with stability and caring." Women who considered themselves highly attractive were more willing to take a risk with a highly testosterone-charged male. These highly feminine, attractive women are most preferred by men oozing testosterone. It is simply biological.

An example would be that the highly feminine, sexually powerful and attractive woman can more effectively 'control' the aggressive, highly masculine male due to the laws of sexual attraction and its effect on psychology. A lesser female wouldn't have the 'power' to control him. For similar, and related, reasons, the reverse is possible too. The aggressive, highly masculine male will necessarily take risks and assert his dominance. Benignly, he may end up wealthy and powerful. He might instead end up in prison. This may explain the impassioned visitations and parade of vehicles I witness coming and going from such residences for seeming losers. Criminally, they might have lost in their goals to achieve, but the women in their life evidently still view them through their female lens as the highly masculine male. This would explain a few of the encounters I had with women who were committed to men 'on the inside' over the decades... Interesting stuff....

No woman is ever enough for the heavily testosterone laden jerk. These women have fooled themselves into thinking their beauty would hold these men but it doesn't.

Enchanted Girl Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 (edited) Actually, I think this study is a load of **** because its assuming (and notice, they didn't prove this part) that prettier women are "nicer" and handsomer men are "meaner". They didn't actually look into these people's background and their level of aggression or nurturing, It sounds like a bunch of ugly guys tried to prove why all the super models should date them. All this study proved was that hot women are attracted to masculine features and hot men are attracted to feminine features. And even that is a matter of opinion. What makes a masculine or feminine feature? And what makes someone hot or not? The rest was a scientists theory on how this effects society. It isn't actually factual. And the responses by the men on here prove that they think that the women being chased the most are nicer and that the average to ugly girls aren't worth their time. "So to the extent that men think that smiling is a good thing to do if they want to be found sexually attractive our findings suggest that's not the case," Tracy said. The men's reaction was just the opposite. "Women who smile are absolutely very attractive. That was by far the most attractive expression women showed," Tracy said in an interview. The researchers admit they are not sure why men and women reacted differently to smiles. In a man, a big smile may make him appear too feminine or more desperate for sex.

I once read about an experiment that said girls are more likely to find you attractive if you have a slightly less attractive doppelganger for them to compare you to. It’s all BS. You’re not a statistic either. You’re one man. (you kinda seem like a jerk so maybe even if you’re right there statistical hope for you)

That is attributed solely to the OP. 2. The study did not say that attractive women are more interested in higher testosterone males. It said women who rated themselves as attractive did so. This says absolutely nothing about attractive women and everything about women whose self-perception is that they are more attractive than others. Those more confident/secure women are drawn to more masculine men and those less secure are drawn to less masculine men. The only real conclusion that may be drawn from that is the majority of women in this cohort did not rate themselves as highly attractive.

They want a guy who has a lot of testosterone, who isn't smiling and looks like he just committed a crime. Yeah, those guys in prison are a real catch. Extra points if they're in there for beating up a wife or girlfriend.
