jgreen86 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 So today I send this quotes to my ex: "Sometimes you have to let go to see if there was anything worth holding on to". He replied "worth much more". I don't get it, what does it mean when he said worth much more?
smudge21 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Got to be honest, I'm confused by that too. Is he saying he's worth more to you, or you're worth more to him? Sadly it's one of those situations where asking him outright kills the mood of what you originally sent, so you may be best leaving it and staying no contact. He understand what you meant (that was obvious) so the important work is done. Leave it at that.
DD1 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Ok I dont know the circumstances of your breakup so I might be wrong, but it sounds like he wants to see if there is anything (anyone..) better for him out there... The quote is: "Sometimes you have to let go to see if there was anything worth holding on to" and if you replace "worth holding on to" by "worth much more" it becomes : "Sometimes you have to let go to see if there was anything worth much more". That looks like he's saying that he wants to see if there is anything, or anyone, better. Sucks.. But I might be wrong. Like I said I don't know your situation so what I said might actually make no sense for your particular breakup. Regardless, don't overanalyse everything he says, it will drive you NUTS! Take care!
Nohbody Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I think the answer is too vague to draw any conclusions. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
