Making contact!

So after 4 days of no contact, I broke down and talked to my mom. She told me to text her and tell her i miss her. I did

Here is how the text convo went.

 

I say " I miss you, do you feel anything"

She says "Of course I do"

I say "Do you miss me"

She says "I do"

I say "you work tomorrow, can I come say hi after gym"

she says "Sure!"

I say "have i been on your mind the last few days"

She says"you have"

Then I say "ok have a goodnight"

she says "you too!"

 

Remember we didnt break up on a fight, it was a calm talk of her saying she needed to clear her mind cause she felt numb. She said its probly not a good idea to go out or see each other right now(before the no contact).

 

Should I get excited about the "!" she added on the Sure!

 

I plan on just going in and saying hi and see if she hugs me, if not i might go for the hug.

I wouldn't hold my breath, just be careful. To me nothing in that exchange screams at me about reconciliation. I would be more prone to believe that she's looking to regain a friendship with you.

Your questions to her scream insecurity and a need for validation. Nothing she has actually said makes that any more definite.

It sounds to me like she is setting you up to give her exactly what she wants...security with knowing you are sitting around waiting for her. Once she gets that security, then she will be able to hold out even longer before making any type of committment to you. I honestly think you messed up by contacting her. You should have just kept being patient because she probably eventually would have contacted you, telling you she wanted you back. But now you contacted her, offered to meet her, and now she is going to know she has you right where she wants you(in her back pocket). Dont be surprised if after you meet up with her, she ends up going out on a date with some other guy now.
