hurtingbad1 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I lost touch with any friends i had, most moved away. The friends which still live here i have no interest in hanging out with. I have no one to turn to for recovery except my parents, Any suggestions?
Nohbody Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 There's a website called meetup.com where you can search for groups with a specific interest. It's really only good in larger cities, but maybe there'll be something of note. Or craigslist for activity partners.
Kodo Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Get on the level with your work colleagues. I'm in a similar boat. I don't have one group of friends anymore because of work/study/distance etc. So I pretty much spend most of my time with work mates and try to get out with them as often as I can.

Usually when I log on to facebook, at least one of them is logged on and I can use the facebook chat to visit with them. Also, you can ask them if they have any facebook friends that they think are nice people. Then you can add those people and talk to them about how you went to school with one of their friends and see if they dont have common interests as you.
Sugarkane Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I'm also working on the same problem too. My group of friends have eitehr moved away or completely grown apart. I became good friends with all of my exes friends. Yet when my ex betrayed me and dumped me completely out of the blue by text, everyone dumped me. They forgot about me immediately, it was like I was never friends with them at all. If they're stupid enough to take sides, I hope my tow faced ex screws them all over.
