Im on day 4 of no contact and it feels like months.

 

So far ive realized that going to the gym takes my mind and the pain away for about an hour of the day. Every bit helps

 

I also found that listen to new songs you never heard of before helps, depressing ones especially. I find the newness to them makes you focus on the song 100%, old ones your use to, you just listen and think at the same time.

 

Get a bottle of red wine, believe me it takes the gut feeling away. You get a small burning sensation in your stomach which does help kill the chest pains.

I'd hesitate to recommend drinking a bottle of wine to anyone going through a bad breakup.

I have to agree that drinking is perhaps not such a good idea yet, but , if it does work for you, then you should use any method you can to help you. I do know about the chest pains though, and how hard NC is... I am only on day 2 and it rips me apart, not nowing what my ex g/f is thinking or doing. I just want her to know how much i care etc etc, but from advice i have had on here, know it could also push her further away....
