shook187 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 So yesterday i'm writing to you guys to tell you she texted me wishing me the best with my future, and career, and then today she texts me saying she wants $150 for the electricity bill (for when we lived together) so i reluctantly tell her i'll leave the money on my porch and she can come and get it, she says no, i want to see you face to face see how your doing. so i meet her, and she just bluffs me into a false sense of hope once again, she tells me we have a future together, but not right now, she even kissed me goodbye on the lips. and said 'you know it wasn't working' which is somewhat a cop out. she told me she once again couldn't talk to me anymore, so here i am, day 1 of NC again. what do i think or do from here? i'm done chasing. i want to get on with my life.

First off, I hope she was entitled to the $150 for the bill. Don't give what she hasn't earned. I think you need to be more assertive. You should have made it clearer that it's not acceptable to come in person. if she wants to see you, lie about it. Tell her you're busy even when you're not. You're doing it for the sake of your own well being, not to hurt someone else. When she arrived in person you should stand your ground better. Hand the money, when she asks how you're going, act like you're doing well. Even if she mimics the response and looks relieved... that'll wear off. It's novelty. heck why care how you're doing if not for her own ego and guilt? As for the kiss, you know that wasn't a good idea so we won't go there. Step back next time or turn your head at the last minute to make it a polite peck on the cheek that you'd do for any girl. And like I said another thread, no you're not in day 1 of NC. If you're still moving along, this is just a rough day of NC to tick off. Take the experience as a learning curve. Now you know how to act on any other contact days you can't avoid.
Author shook187 Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 thankyou for advice. 1 thing i forgot to add is that she said 'it'd kill her to see me with someone else' and 'don't hook up with any of my friends' seems like she is just being a total control freak here. i'm getting better it's a month tomorrow
