M22 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 So I've been reading a lot about the importance of NC. It appears to be a useful tool for those who want to get over their ex, but also the same strategy to get your ex back. My situation is really simple; she wanted to get married, I didn't pull the trigger fast enough. Not because of her, but it has just always been the way I was. After almost 1.5 months, I have concluded that she is indeed the woman for me. I've attempted to express my desire to communicate my feelings, but she is in hardcore NC mode. Absolutely NOTHING. My question is, since our break up was essentially brought on by my hang-ups which I have since overcome, how long do you think I need to hang out without contact from her before I attempt to make contact? In other words, how long is too long before a "reflection" period becomes a permanent break-up?
shook187 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 i believe noone can answer that question but you. and as hard as it is to say, you may have become a little too comfortable. i too told my girl i wouldn't marry her, we were together 5 years. she then said what's the point then. you know her better than anyone, she'll be thinking of you, i believe all it takes is 1 text, then the ball is in her court. think of it this way, she doesn't come back? then your already dealing with it, she does come back, it was meant to be. i'd give it a couple of months, after that you have to respect her wishes.
