I am 6'5 at 16. I didn't get a lot of dates in middle school and i think it was my height. I definitely talk to more girls now but usually if a girl turns me down or something and i say something about it people say its because of my height. Like i have never had a girl say she didn't want to go out with me because of my height. I mean i have had girls that i dated say that i am too tall or whatever but more in a teasing way. Never just had a chick say "no you are too tall" But i know i am still getting taller. Probably gonna be like 6'6-6'8. Is that too tall for most woman?

Both my LTR BFs in high school were 6'6" and 6'8", whereas I was (and still am), 5'4" - and back then, girls didn't wear heels except to prom!

Luckily, there are plenty of gals that are taller than me, who will be just as happy to date a tall dude as I was. If you're ever turned down, it's unlikely it'll have anything to do with your height. :)

Yes there is such a thing as being too tall (though it definitely beats being too short). One thing you need to keep in mind is that being 6'5+, you will appear rather intimidating to people in general and women in particular, so their guard will automatically be up a bit.

On the other hand, women have an obsession with height these days, so being with a guy that towers above everyone else will have some intrinsic appeal as well.

Basically, you'll do fine once you get past the initial intimidation factor.

As a 5'10" female, I'd LOVE to find someone that tall. Most tall girls would, so don't sweat it. As you get older, you'll "grow into" your frame more, and will probably be quite a catch.

Yes, he played for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1970's and again in the 1980's.

He is now 60 years old.

Had he not been too tall, his name would merely be "Ed Jones". So y'see, being "too tall" has been a savior for some.

In other news, I saw a dreamy woman of 6' 1" the other day, and she was with her boyfriend of 6' 6" or so.

So don't give up the ship just yet. Mind you, it stands to reason that while your high school might only contain a few hundred girls from which you might harvest a very tall girl who yearns for an even taller guy, your eventual college should have a lot more possibilities from which to choose.

I'm 6'6" and I never fail to get the cross-eyed stare from at least a dozen people whenever I go to the supermarket to get the grokes.

There is, however, a cure for that:

Get a cheap pair of John Lennon glasses---the kind with the round lenses. Next get a white ping pong ball, a hacksaw blade, a Stanley knife, a tube of aquarium sealant, a small brush, and some black paint.

Use the hacksaw blade to cut around the seam on the ping pong ball until you cut it in half. Use the Stanley knife to make a 1/4" round hole in the center of each half of the ball. Glue each half ball to the outside lenses of the glasses and let the sealant dry. Use the brush and the black paint to make a big pair of crossed eyes on the outsides of the half balls. Now put it on and people will stop staring at you because they think they look like that.
