Butterflying Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Does talking about menopause at work be the same as calling someone a racist name, or a sexually bias term like "fag" or "dike"? For instance, if a person says "A lot of people women in this department are menopausal" when having a discussion about what to do with the temperature. Is this wrong?
Star Gazer Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 To talk about why they have hot flashes and need a colder office, no, I don't think it's offensive. To talk about why they might be emotional, moody, etc., yes, it might be, especially if used in a derogatory, sarcastic way.
