Does talking about menopause at work be the same as calling someone a racist name, or a sexually bias term like "fag" or "dike"?

 

For instance, if a person says "A lot of people women in this department are menopausal" when having a discussion about what to do with the temperature. Is this wrong?

To talk about why they have hot flashes and need a colder office, no, I don't think it's offensive.

 

To talk about why they might be emotional, moody, etc., yes, it might be, especially if used in a derogatory, sarcastic way.
