This is a common con. Women fake being virgins either to be more alluring or to keep a man without having sex with him usually meanwhile doing other guys. If you are a guy who wants to wait until marriage then there isn't anything wrong with that. Just realize you do that only for yourself and your beliefs. Don't expect she is doing the same regardless of what she claims. If you are a guy depriving yourself of sex hoping she'll eventually give in or put out then stop right there. She is playing you for a fool. Move on to a girl who won't play these silly juvenile games. This isn't junior high.
denise_xo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Hi there and welcome, I'm not a Christian and don't share those particular attitudes regarding sex being only for marriage, but respect those who hold the views that you outline. My main concern with it would be the issue of sexual (in)compatibility. I'm in a marriage that has been characterised by sexual incompatibility and it's a very significant strain on us. As someone mentioned above, you don't really figure out these things before you've been together and tried various things for a little while. I wouldn't wish you to be in my position, and I'm not sure how you'd figure it out other than testing it before hand. On a different note, I also don't buy the anything but-approach

Promiscuity is applauded nowadays and chastity isn't. Let the rest of the world do what it wants, stick to your morals if it's truly what you want.

Women like the OP will only want to have sex once every other month and missionary only if they get married. I don't have any problem with the waiting part it self, it's the fact that the marriage will be sexless(because Christian women don't like sex) that I have a problem with. I'd wait until marriage if the woman wasn't Christian, and wanted to wait for other reasons. That'd be ok.

Considering how big a step marriage is, I would not dream of marrying a woman I've never had sex with. Granted, I'm not a religious person.

When the girlfriend keeps saying, "Not until we are married." It makes the guy start thinking of sex as one of the reasons to get married. Marrying a girl so you can have sex with her is an absolutely terrible reason to get married. But I'm sure there are guys out there who do it.

LOL There are so many things that can go wrong that one doesn't know about because they didn't have sex first. I'm a little worried about my cousin. She's a good Christian girl, 20 or 21. And she's engaged to her first boyfriend and getting married next month. They met a few years ago. I'm 99% sure that she's making him wait. I hope that they have a long and happy marriage, but realistically I have my doubts. I talked to my Mom as well and she agrees with me.

I think it'd be a tease as for your religious views, I was a christian... once a upon a time. we had a discussion about sex back then at school with our religion teacher which was (and would still be) a person I admired, he said the bigger the meaning between the 2 people involved in the sexual act, the lesser the sin, as in, if you are sleeping with a guy you met an hour ago, that is a sin, but if you like the guy, and he likes you, and you have been together for a while, the sin is not so great. it's not the marriage ritual that makes or breaks what is a sin, it's what's in the heart and intentions of the people involved. well... if he understands it would be great, and if he immediatly runs away he might not have been worth it to begin with, and you should still try and keep an open mind on the topic... after all, I was told that God also understands and forgives edit: and as for the other stuff I read, is god really that shallow that he forbade regular sex but would ignore everything else?(though it may be more disgusting?) it should be noted that I am an atheist, so I do not believe myself in what I wrote but it may make some sense to a christian Edited June 7, 2011 by 627

Its just at that age marriage is so far away and i wouldn't wait 5 years. Maybe if she let me have sex with other girls.
