I remember that song and liked it. Never really understood the lyrics. At the time I was only 10 that might explain why.

I think that it means his girlfriend lied to him and he split up with her, he gets over it and moves on with his life, he has been strong and returned to his life, Great song for all your broken hearted people out there!, BE STRONG!!
