CanadianBornCutie Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 well, as you know i've posted before....but now done with the ex!! this friday I have a date with this really awesome guy! Haha i've been on a few dates since the official break with my ex but no one has me as interested in this guy i guess i just want to make a good first impression...any ideas of fun things to do? thanks naomi
manofmystrey Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 first dates are exciting....what to do depends on where u live as I was born in canada and lived there for a long time there are many things to do.....where do u live and what are his interests? it would be eaiser to give adivce that way
Darkangelism Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Dinner, movie, something like that is always good.
manofmystrey Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Dinner, movie and all that is fine but its very conventional.....you wanna do something that is special and something that is different as a first date is something that u want to remember for the years to come.
Lilyann Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Don't do dinner and a movie. For starters it is very common, you cannot talk during the movie (you cannot get to know each other better), and dinner there is so much pressure. I suggest a coffee shop (if you do not like coffee they generally seerve other things) Friday = fun. good luck!
amerikajin Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I agree about the dinner and the movie thing - too conventional. Spice it up a bit. Since he's the guy, I'd let him be the alpha male and see what he can do. Doesn't hurt to throw a few suggestions or hints, though.
Fedup&givingup Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Too bad you couldn't do a "day" date...maybe on the second date. Don't know what your weather up there is like now, but anything outside would be fun and also a way to get to know each other. I've had some great dates that took place outside.
krbshappy71 Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I suggest reading Mars and Venus on a Date. And then explaining why YOU are the one planning this date?
Author CanadianBornCutie Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks for all your replies! I'm in Vancouver Canada so the weather is kinda nice....it should be sunny on friday.....we've planned to take a walk on the beach and stuff....he's driving down to come see me, and he hasn't really been in my city for a long time that's why i'm trying to find something to plan. We're only like 40 mins apart. he's in the army up here so he's athletic and stuff, i was thinking of something fun that included sports....and such....yeah a day time date would be better for that. I he's 24 and I'm 20 its too bad that there aren't any carnivals or amusement parks here right now. It doesnt open till summer...... anyways thanks alot! and wish me luck!
