lingering questions

I wrote to you all last week about him contacting me. I don't know why he called. When he came he said he still did not love me and that he just came to see how I am?

 

Well it has been one week since I told him to go to hell. I had a really big set back in getting over him after that. On Saturday I cried for 2 1/2 hours straight.

 

Well anyway then I just started going out like crazy and that has made it easier. Now I haven't cried since Sunday. Ok so that is progress right.

 

My question is why do they come back and say stuff like that. do they really want to just see how you are or what?

 

I don't know why I need this question answered but I do?

maybe that's his way of getting closure from y'alls relationship -- sort of like, "I'll check on her to make sure she's all right and at the same time prove once and for all that I'm over the relationship." or something like that.

 

we do weird things when we end relationships ... although you might never want to see him again, he might still feel comfortable enough to check on you from time to time. If it bugs you, though, tell him that you don't want anything to do with him anymore. Otherwise, you'll find that you kind of slip into a relationship that's reminds you of long-distance relatives: you do okay being apart, but from time to time you get curious about how the relative is doing, so you find a way to catch up with them. And that's not necessarily an awful thing.

I don't know why they do this. Maybe your ex cares for you and wants to be sure you're ok?

 

Another reason (closer to what you might want to hear right now) can be pure cruelty !?!

Maybe because you're still on his mind....he misses you...cares about you, but knows that he messed up.
