The guy i like and myself we're going out about once a week then he got super busy since he got his job, and they call him to come in all the time, and making him work such long hours so we didn't see each other for a week or so. We hung out last week and had a really good time, we held hands and kissed and everything. But this week looks pretty busy, the only day i'm off he has to work late. Since we aren't in a official relationship yet, is this fine to just be hanging out once a week or when we can? We talk several times a week, and i'll sometimes go by his work and see him if i can.
zengirl Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I suppose my official relationships all became official relatively quickly (I don't think I've bothered with a fellow for more than a month or so without it turning into a "relationship"), but I would say the communication and frequency of seeing them was usually quite a lot at that stage. That said, if it's just an issue of things not coming together perfectly, I wouldn't worry about it. A guy that wanted to see me once a week or so early on . . . well, I'd probably write him off. I've no use for breaking down walls or guys that are truly so busy that's all they can do regularly. Once in awhile, sure, or if I was equally busy, maybe, but I can make time for someone and I expect the same. But one week is not worth being worried about. My new fellow is the first one in a long time I've spoken to every day, and we see each other 3-4 times a week, but we have lots of friends/activities in common. So it's not all "alone" time---that's only once or twice a week. Right before we became exclusive, I saw him every day for 15 days. A long stretch for me! But indicative of a trend: I've always seen a lot of a guy right before a relationship was cemented.
