start-fresh Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I just decided to try eHarmony for the first time recently. I've gotten a few "matches" that have almost immediately sent me questions. Like within 10 minutes of getting the match. And some of them are what I would consider very attractive. Does the site just set up these fake profiles? I have a hard time believing they're legit and haven't responded to any of them yet, but it just seems so obvious what is happening.
Mrlonelyone Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I don't think they set up fake profiles or if anything a fake profile would not send you questions and would not interact. EH is different from most dating websites in that on EH people are looking for relationships. Yes there are some players and serial daters (not the same as multi dating) and jerks there like anywhere. The people there are more proactive because they pay a fair amount of money to be there.
TheLawmaker Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 EH is not Match.com. Match and PlentyOfFish have lots of fake profiles, EH doesn't really. You're lucky. When I joined EH, I kept on having my matches closed either before I contacted them, or right after contacting them. And nobody contacted me.

I have been a member of eharmony in the past and haven't found any of the profiles to be fake. So go get em.
