Three years of only emails, Great friendship sure it was, It started as just marketing buddies wasn't planned and happened over time.

But a BIG waste of my time to have had any romantic notions about, Be careful with the online stuff, Most of these guys are jut not really "available" or wanting anything for real in one way or another.

It's hard enough in person to have a relationship - Pretty much impossible through emails only.;)

I agree, and sorry if you were disappointed :( I wanted to meet my partner IRL within a few months of talking to him online, cos we did both have hopes on it (but tried to push them down in case it didn't work out) and would rather know sooner rather than later if what we had was real or not, we met 4 or 5 months after first talking online. I personally wouldn't wait much more than that with meeting a potential partner for the first time, otherwise it could all be fantasy, and no-one knows for sure until they meet.

You're right that it's wise to be cautious.
