EasyHeart Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Hear stories from friends that women change and become partiers after boob jobs. Does this ring true. Will she turn into a hookerAlmost for sure. On the bright side, at least she'll be bringing in a good income after you get married.
carhill Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 I've personally known two women who have gotten breast augmentation, one woman who got a breast 'lift' and one woman who got a breast reduction. All were quite 'pedestrian' women and three of the four were married when they had the procedures. One still is, one IDK and one is divorced. They were friends of my exW. The fourth, the breast reduction, is the 'friend' in my journals. She's divorced and lives with her BF. Of the four, she was the one men were chasing around the office desk, which part of why she got a reduction. If your fiance is a balanced and emotionally healthy lady, that won't change. If she trends to 'unstable', watch out. One opinion.
SincereOnlineGuy Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Hear stories from friends that women change and become partiers after boob jobs. Does this ring true. Will she turn into a hooker Urge her to get "Big'uns". This will assure that she makes top dollar. (unless of course she works in a courtroom environment - then she'll likely be cited for "distracting" opposing legal teams)
JungleLover Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Why is she getting a boob job? She already has her guy. I hope.
Tony T Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Hear stories from friends that women change and become partiers after boob jobs. Does this ring true. Will she turn into a hooker The only thing that usually changes in a woman with new breast implants is an uptick in their self esteem. If your lady turns into a hooker, it could be she needs to make money to pay for the operation, that's all. Any radical changes that occur in her due to a breast augmentation may be a sign you need to move on. If you can't handle the new person, you have no choice...but don't worry about it.
sanskrit Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Critical information is missing. What do her boobs look like now? That is the determinative fact of whether a boob job is a screaming red flag or not.
Star Gazer Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Why is she getting a boob job? She already has her guy. I hope. Because she, like many women who get implants, is probably doing it for herself, not to catch a man. NEWSFLASH! Many people do get plastic surgery for themselves. I have implants, and I most definitely didn't turn into a slut. If anything, since getting them (at 27/28), I've only become more conservative.

Oh, excuse me. I wouldn't mind getting enlightened though. Can you expand on that? Getting them for yourself is such a vague description. Why would you someone get them for herself? The way I see it that breast are primarily for breastfeeding and implants do not help in that area. Furthermore, men have definitely taken a liking to breasts ever since boy met girl and find them very attractive. We all know that. So how would implants please a woman for herself outside of the natural purpose and social benefit as I just described? By the way, my question is really genuine in case someone is looking to pull a pin from a grenade. I just never heard someone say that she get implants for herself and not to appear more attractive to others.
Jynxx Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Critical information is indeed missing. We want pics She'll probably use the boobs to attract a better class of guy than you, op. Are you paying for them? If so you should negotiate a buyout of your equity with her future lover. Or you could have him pay you per time he uses them, could get a really profitable investment that way.
Star Gazer Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I just never heard someone say that she get implants for herself and not to appear more attractive to others. Then you're pretty sheltered. People get plastic surgery (to make themselves more attractive) all the time FOR THEMSELVES, not necessarily to attract a mate. Whether that be breast implants to make them bigger, or breast reductions to make them smaller, or breast lifts to make them perkier, or tummy tucks, nose jobs, liposuction, whatever. Sometimes YOU want to like what YOU see in the mirror, regardless of what anyone else in the world thinks. Everything I do to my body and appearance (including working out, applying makeup, getting my hair done, etc.) is so that I can like what I see in the mirror and feel good. Whether or not I attract someone who also finds my particular traits attractive isn't my motivation at all, because there are probably just as many men who would prefer me in my "natural" state (auburn instead of blonde, no makeup versus makeup, small boobs rather than large) as there are men who prefer my "enhanced" state. So I do it for me. If they like it, great. If not, no sweat off my back - because all that matters is that I like it. *shrug*
Ginger Beer Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Almost for sure. On the bright side, at least she'll be bringing in a good income after you get married. I laughed at this.

Eternal Sunshine Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I actually think that Star would look more striking with auburn hair..... sorry off topic.
thatone Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 When you want to make yourself more attractive, you certainly are not trying to attract yourself. this is fact. i grew up around a divorce attorney, he and my father shared an office. we all learned to predict divorces like clockwork. boob job + gym membership + new hair/makeup = you got a divorce coming buddy so you might as well start looking around yourself. just as men lie to women, women lie to themselves.
sanskrit Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Since OP hasn't come back and given us more info, my rule of thumb on boob jobs is if she was flatflat (small A or smaller), noticeably uneven, or prematurely very droopy, boob job is fine. If she had a perfectly fine set already with none of those preexisting problems, blazing red flag, run for the hills and don't look back.

Andy_K Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 It may be a minority vote, but I have to agree with Star Gazer on this one. Plenty of people get plastic surgery for themselves, rather than to appear more attractive to others. There's nothing wrong with it, and to label anyone who gets work done would be very judgemental. If a particular appearance or style makes someone feel better about themselves, or happier with what they see in the mirror, I see no reason for them not to pursue it. Driven people spend much of their lives acquiring the knowledge, skill sets and personality traits or the person they want to be. Aiming for a similar level of self improvement (I use the term loosely to mean whatever the individual desires to change) on one's looks is just a different side of the same coin.

Ditto the above. My late wife got them. I had the same concern at first that you did, that she would turn into a party girl. She and I had a serious conversation about it (the pro's and con's) and the one thing she told me was she thought it would boost her confidence and it did. She would wear clothes she wouldnt normally wear, women and men would compliment her all the time. I loved that, knowing that all the people in the room thought my wife was a knock out. LOL I think if you express your concerns about her wanting implants and talk it throu, there will be no problems. My advise to you on a different level... make sure you find a good dr, get serveral recommendations. A friend went and got her done at a local dr and they turned out crappy. We went out of state and for the same price found a great, reputable dr and they turned out great. Oh and make mention to go one size bigger. After about 8 months, my wife wish she got them a little bigger.
