hsft Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 My ex-husband whom I have a child with, just confessed that he still loves me. He is in a relationship with another woman who has a child (not his) and I am seeing someone as well. I do not return those feelings. I told him as much, perhaps harshly but honestly, and that if he respected either of us he would keep things like that to himself and try to move on. He seemed very hurt. What I worry about is 1) this negatively impacting our co-parenting relationship with our son and 2) that he is not being honest with his girlfriend whose son our son has grown attatched to. He has been through a lot on the last 4 years (prison for securities fraud, which is the reason our relationship failed) and I worry about his emotional and mental stability. I have a very good relationship with his family. Should I confide in his family about his confession so they can keep an eye on him and be extra encouraging about the positive things he has going on now instead of looking back in the past trying to revive something that died a long time ago? Or is my blunt rebuffing of his feelings enough and trust that he will let it go and move on? I know that the whole conversation left me feeling uneasy and anxious. Thank you for your help
BlindRage Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 This question seems more suitable for the Family section. I think you can receive good responses there.
