Although I'm no longer chasing NY women as I'd already learned just what to expect from them, but what's the deal with American women walking in and out of places with big stomachs and not pregnant?

I've seen this on medium-sized women and slim, curvy women. Most of the women are young too, between ages 25-30. Over 30 I sort of expect it on them except in extreme circumstances where she's hitting the gym so hard it'll give her a headache down the line.

So, what gives, Ladies? Do you honestly think you can get away with that fat belly? News flash: you cant!

I don't know dude, do you honestly think you can walk into this forum with a big fat ego and get away with it? You can't:)

I'm Canadian and as stick thin as they come, but I wouldn't be attracted to a dude with an attitude like yours.

I see them "get away" with it all the time. But I'm with D-lish on this one--I'd rather date a man with a big beer belly than one with your attitude.

they can get away with whatever they like. Doenst mean I have to like it.

Sh*t stirrer extraordinaire is back.

Hey - wasn't I supposed to switch emails with you or something? I can't do that because the only two emails I have are my work email and my gmail account that contains my real name. Too bad we can't PM -

Another charming "what gives ladies?" post.

STOP with these.

I guess I have to agree with you. It really is a shame that the girls with the bellies are allowed to walk in and out of places. I thought walking in and out of places was only reserved for girls with no tummies. Strange. I'll get on the horn to Bloomberg tomorrow. I thought he was regulating this sort of thing.

I'll tell you something- when you look perfect, feel free to expect the pick of the litter... Until then, accept that you're not going home with the supermodel either.

I exercise 6 times a week. I think the way I look reflects this. Personally, I dont need a supermodel, but someone who has excess fat because they are too lazy to do anything about it? No thanks.

If everybody did what they did not want to do, everybody would get what he/she wanted in life. Unfortunately, short term desires, such as food, brings instant gratification. A Big Mac tonight vs 1 pound of weight lost in 1 week? I think most people (men and women) would choose to eat that greasy Big Mac.

If there is anyone here who wants to lose weight, I recommend the Insanity workout. Awesome workout!!!

weight loss is more diet than exercise. get a little self-discipline, stop eating food you know is bad for you, and start moving a little. it's really that simple.

So... why are disgustingly huge breasts ok, but a little bit of a gut on a woman = barf time? Double standard, no? Hey, bro, YOU gave her the box of See's, so don't balk.

They're called "love handles" because they're for holding.

I agree that it's more about diet. I'm pretty active but when I watch what i eat the weight comes right off. Granted - I'm still in my twenties when it's easier to lose weight quickly....that will change.

On another note. If I'm healthy and feel good and I go up to a size 6 instead of a 4 and have some belly fat and cellulite and a guy thinks it's gross. BUH BYE! I could care less.

I would assume a guy would tell me to go F*ck myself if I pointed out to him that he was losing his hair and he should be using products to slow it down or get plugs. So a guy can safely assume I'll be telling him the same thing when he gets all over me about "excess" fat. Don't worry about it hunny - it won't be getting on you anytime soon.

Well, it is a combination of both actually. Exercise is a necessary component of weight loss, for it serves as a motivator to eat clean. Exercise also allows people to burn extra calories per day. Many women have a lower daily calorie intake than men, so in order for weight loss to occur, calories need to be cut from an already low daily calorie intake. Exercise+diet=fast results.

I think your comparison is a little unfair. No one's suggesting a women should take weight loss products or wear girdles to hold herself in. Just stop eating fast food 3 nights a week and move a little bit. If doing that could get a guy his hair back, I think you'd be right to ask him to do so.

I understand its a combination, I didn't say its only diet. Diet is just plays a larger part in weight loss/keeping lost weight off. The problem is people think they are eating healthy, but really are not. Both men and women think eating at subway, frozen "health" foods, and other junk is good for them...but all it provides them with is empty calories..

I know this is getting a little off topic but for me...It's not faster results.

I live in NYC and I walk so, so much and I am active in the park in the warm months. I trained and ate very well for 4 months and I had good muscle tone and was a size 6. My gym membership got up to $160/month plus PT sessions - too much so I had to quit.

I took my calorie intake down to 1400 HEALTHY, energy packed calories a day with daily walking and the weight came off at a nice pace and I looked amazingly toned and better than I did when I was training. My body looked tremendously better with out the circuit training and heavy cardio. No clue why though

**and to boot - after a breakup I was depressed for several months and just could not eat much at all. I know it wasn't healthy but getting food down was hard - no exercise and again....I looked good - toned and thin.

 This is such a blatant plea for attention, it's sad.

*sigh*

I'm sorry OP that women are ignoring you in IRL--and that you're furious about it.

I know you came home and pounded out this post (possibly through tears) to extract perhaps a little revenge.

Alas, it's just silly.

Now, I'm off to eat some chocolates.

Actually, we can get away with it. You'd be amazed how many large-bellied women I see walking around with THIN guys.

That's true; once a weight loss goal has been met, the only calorie goal that is necessary is to reach one's maintenance level. What does your diet consist of?

Personally, I eat very clean. Little to no bad carbs, no fast food, healthy fats, etc. It's pretty simple. I just stay away from processed junk and eat a high protein, high fiber diet with sufficient amounts of complex carbs. I've always been one to be extremely compassionate towards people who have a problem/condition they cannot help...but for those that can help it? I really have no sympathy whatsoever.

My personal preference for women is the natural slender body type. I am not very attracted to women who appear muscular. On a different note, however, everyone's body is different; different weight loss techniques work for different individuals. Keep in mind, though, that the scale is not an indicator of one's fitness results, measurements are. I have lost 10 pounds in the last few months but also gained muscle mass which weighs more than fat. This means that your weight may actually increase, while your fitness results improve simultaneously.

While you were at the gym, you must have seen a lot of men who lifted weights, yet had undesirable fitness results. This is because muscle hides below your fat. This is why cardio exercise is so important; it is the single most effective workout that will shape your body (in my opinion). Fat is burnt , which allows muscle definition to appear.

I couldn't consistently keep up with a 100% clean diet. Personally, I enjoy having a hamburger once in a while or eating a delicious pizza. I eat subway quite a lot for lunch and stack a wheat sandwich with veggies and chicken breast. Are you saying that is unhealthy because it isn't organic? I am not trying to put you on the spot; I am just curious!
