I don't need the guy to be huge, but I need him to be bigger than I am. I'm 5'6" and 125 pounds, so this is not a tough standard to meet. :p

My boss likes guys with beards who weigh 300 pounds. I don't know what's wrong with him.

tigress, you are definitely not alone. Plenty of women like skinny nerds, or guys that are skinny emo types.

I happen to be one of those skinny guys, and I am thankful that there are women out there who dig my type!

Easy there smalls...

:lmao: too funny!!

I prefer bigger guys also, but I am very petite (5'1) so I like to know that my man can protect me and it does make me feel safer. I don't however like guys that are waaay tall (more than 6') or too overweight. I don't think I could ever date someone shorter than me. I'm also not attracted to very thin bony guys.

I'm married now to a guy who is 6 ft tall exactly. He must weigh about 180 pounds. I've dated guys who were as short as 5'5" to those that were as tall as 6'4". The shortest guy I dated was around my height. I've come to realize I prefer someone taller than me, but not as tall as the tallest man I dated. I'm not into very muscular/football player or very overweight guys. I prefer a lean, but toned guy with some muscle definition.

I'm also someone who is into cute geeky guys.

One of my friends is 4'11" and her current BF is around 6'3". They look cute-yet-ridiculous together. Sometimes I want to ask her how they make it work in the bedroom just out of curiosity.

I'm 5'7", slim, and the guys I've been with range from 5'5" to 6'2" in height. I have found I much prefer the ones under 6'. All but one have ranged from sinewy to trim in build. The one guy who was an exception turned me off bigger guys completely:

He was a touch over 6' and was significantly larger than me in build/mass--that football player type. I HATED it. I felt like I was being smothered in bed. His 'equipment' was big too, and he didn't know how to use it, so I was consistently sore after sex. After that experience was when I completely swore off guys of that physical type.

Current BF is 5'5" and trim. I can fit into his clothes, and we are eye-level with each other in bare feet. I love it!

Sounds AWFUL!

I can't imagine how big he was?! Sex with a transformer comes to mind.

To be honest, I just like my Hubby and so can imagine that if he came in a bit of a different package I would have still loved him because it was not really about his looks altogether... but I'll shut up now as I am being all lovestruck Disney.. :o

Take care,

Eve x

what about the whole heels factor?? i'm 5'8 and have noticed my gf's are all generally 5'5 or shorter. i also notice on POF that i dont generally get much attention from the girls i'm attracted to that are 5'6 and up. it annoys me a little. i have quite an athletic body, and keep in great shape, but i basically feel i'm subjected to girls 5'5 and shorter! just wondering if that's b/c heels add an additional 2-3 inches and girls generally (key word generally) like guys taller than them in heels.

Girls that like guys that are somewhat smaller are awesome in my book.

I'm 5'9" and 152 pounds with a lean swimmer's build, but a lot of women think I'm a shrimp.

Size really does not matter a whole lot to me unless the girl is big enough to break me...for example 6'4" - 240lbs., or if I'm big enough to break her...for example 4'10" - 85 pounds.

I’m over 6 feet tall and weigh over 200lbs. I consider myself in good shape. Being big has always helped with women.

On the flip side I often like to mention my 5’2 friend who isn’t rich or famous, yet always seems to be able to get a pretty girl.

Count me in the club, Tigressa. I have had boyfriends who were slightly taller than me and weighed less. The good thing about that is it was motivation to lose the extra pounds. These guys were 5' 7" and 130 pounds.

My current boyfriend is 5' 6" and I like that we can see eye to eye. But he's built like a wrestler so even though we differ in height by an inch, I look more petite.

Height and weight have never been important to me, but somehow I end up with men on the skinnier and shorter side.

My ex is skinny, it was like having sex with a skeleton. No thanks.

My girlfriend. According to her "there's no such thing as too skinny". I'm 5'10 and 115 lbs. I, for one, am glad not all women like large/muscular guys :p

wow that's really thin. you're about the size of my thigh [5'8", 170ish]

back on topic...i've dated women taller than me, so women like the OP are out there, and it's not a myth ! but me thinks it's out of the norm- but so what right ?

Height doesn't matter so much, but I do want them to be much stonger than I am. I enjoy a man who can easily overpower me when we wrestle around. I never feel dominated because it's always easy to cheat and win if I really want to. ;)

I don't get why women (and some men) think being tall is being big. I've lost count as to how many guys I see on the street who are tall, clumsy, and rail thin. I'm not bashing them, but I think it's safe to say that height factors little in actual strength and size. A guy whose 5'4 and 150 lbs of muscle is always going to be a lot stronger and "bigger" than a guy whose 6'3 and 150 pounds of skin and bones.

I've noticed that most women don't care so much about how big you are as long as you are tall, a lot of women like go crazy for the tall lanky look.

I'm the opposite of the OP. I am only attracted to very large men. I like them to be very tall and very strong and beefy looking. Huge shoulders, massive hairy chest, big arms, big hands. In other words, I like a man who looks like he could wrestle a wrestle a grizzly bear.

I'm 4ft 11 and weigh like 90 lbs. I don't think I can find a guy smaller than me unless he is 12. Most 12 year old guys are probably bigger than me.

I can do shorter, no problem- but thinner???? No way.

My preference is for taller, bigger guys. I am 5'8" and prefer 6'2"+

At 5'5, I have no problem with a man 5'7 or so.

I remember you saying once OP, something about wearing his clothes.

We differ there. I like a bigger framed dude with a lot of strength.

Sexy!

the thought that comes to mind is welterweight boxers.

oscar de la hoya (5'9 or so), miguel cotto (5'7), etc.

those guys could beat any average 6 foot tall man to death with their bare hands....

You are comparing apples and pears. Compare a welterweight boxer with one of the best karate or taekwondo fighters in the world and I highly doubt the boxer stands much of a chance. Now that is fair game, yet the martial arts fighter may be 6"0 and weigh 150 pounds. Just sayin'!

Personally I believe the OP is insecure, therefore, she seeks to be equal in all ways and forms with her male counter-part. Thing about that is, she will never be equal to him. She is a woman, and he is a man. Nature intended for the sexes to be different, and that they will be. Keep dating small men. It won't change the fact that you're insecure about being a woman, and that you have a huge chip on your shoulder. You want to one up men so bad you seeps out of your pores. Not surprised, alot of women on this board are like that. Maybe you all should go live on an island somewhere like a bunch of long lost amazonian women. Possibly you'll all be happy then. :/ Ah jokes. But I was being serious about the first half of the post.

you're comparing apples to pears in your second sentence, lol. they're different. not really looking to debate one vs the other.

the reason for bringing up the boxers is there's not a lot of height variation in the lower weight classes. there's not much advantage to being lanky and thinner as a boxer. there's gotta be weight behind the hands, since you're limited to hands.
