OriginalPenguin Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I have seen that term used around here and am curious about it. We have been together six months, with a short break over some misunderstandings. When we got back together it was like a return with a vengeance (in a good way). We have been closer and stronger than ever and see each other every day, communicate a lot throughout the day and miss each other like crazy when we are apart. I am not a kid, have had other relationships and a failed marriage so I thought I had an understanding about the differences between love and infatuation; but I am a kid at heart. We are crazy in love with each other and say it often. Does what I describe sound like this "honeymoon phase"?
Kampo Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 only you can really know but I relised when the honeymoon was over in my last relationship when quirks that I often overlooked or even found cute became really annoying.

I agree with this. What characterizes the honey moon stage from a more long term compatibility perspective is that one tends to overlook red flags or down play their importance. However, I vote enjoy your relationship and time will help you understand what is what and the real nature of your relationship.
