Although painful, a lot of good can come from them. To me, a break up is still a success. Don't believe me? Go spend some time in the Divorce Forum. You have no idea what he11 is until you read some of those posts. It might help give you some perspective.
EgoJoe Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I still have a journal she bought me with something she wrote down. "Love you forever plus a day and I will always be there to support you. Had to give it to a friend so I wouldn't look at it. Probably going to send her everything she gave me and all of the pictures etc. I'm not in the "anger" stage. I have the misfortune of going back and forth due to lack of 100% acceptance. I have to let go myself. Such a pitiful end, a true tragedy. Yet, my feelings right now make me feel like it was a comedy at the end for her.

These boards are filled with people who have been dumped but who still are deeply in lover with the dumper and want them back, while the dummper has moved on and never looked back. Love should either have two people feel the same about each other, or if they fall out of love, they both do it and split. Instead it is the same old story, one is deeply in love and the other isn't and leaves. Love is a very flawed concept. It should never have been invented.

Sacred-Self Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 fear not my friend, the love you speak of which causes you such deep pain when it has ended is not pure so to speak. I know because of the way you feel now, you still have much growing to do. Next time if you want your love to be strong then learn to love in such a way that you will be happy and supporting of the person whether they stay or leave and will be able to invest your love elsewhere. This kind of love is not clingy, and is not attached, this is pure love, it comes from being deeply confident and self loving. the fickle love you speak of is merely a lesson you need to learn to clear the way for better future relationships, or it can draw you deeper into unconsciousness if you continue to resist reality. The choice is your offcourse.
