All day I was hoping she didn't contact me and kept checking my phone for text messages every hour and then all of a sudden I get a text saying-"are you still meeting today?

I'm really not in a dating mood since it's sunday, cloudy and chilling. I should have said yesterday since it was sunny and warm and a saturday. I thought about cancelling but she appears very eager to meet me so I will just suck it up and go ahead and go on tne date. Sometimes you are just in the mood when you don't feel like impressing anyone.

Plus she is shy so I will have to do most of the work which I really don't feel like doing. Well let me get ready for a Date on a Sunday which is the first time in about 5 years

You're complaining because it's rainy? Seriously? You have 0 interest in her so I don't know why you even arranged the date. Or you pull in women like Brad Pitt.

If it's your first date in 5 yrs, and you are not excited.......something is F'ed up here.......

i think he was saying first sunday date in that many years, as in he reserves sundays for himself or something else.

He reserves every day of the week for himself or something else, just not dates.

I'm from Philly too and my last Sunday coffee date turned into my current relationship. I had pretty given up on finding someone, but gave it a shot anyway. Glad I did.

Hope your date goes well.

Who makes a date on Sunday? That day is for Jesus! J/k.

He was busy turning stone into bread! If you can't understand that then there's something wrong here, baby.

In all seriousness, I felt this way a couple months ago... I just couldn't motivate to go on the date. I rallied and went anyway, and was supremely annoyed when I almost got stood up (he was late, and I was ready to cancel if he was one more minute late). It was a dud date, a total waste of my time.

If you're not feeling excited to go, that will probably affect the date. I'd suggest rescheduling.

just getting back home and had a pleasant meeting with the girl. It lasted about two hours and a half and during the date we laugh and talked and she asked me things like.."what else should I know about you? She was texted me from across the table being silly and then I walked her to her car and we hugged. I saw that she called me when she arrived home but my phone was off and I called back. So it appears that she want to see me again so I will try and set up another date for a .............SATURDAY lol

That's great! Make sure you check the weather report, and pick a sunshiny day so you're not all poopy pants before the date. ;)

Yesterday was beautiful but not sure what today. On the news it said today was supposed to be sunny and 80 degrees. Instead it was cloudy rainy and 72 degrees. Inacurate news report. I mentioned to her on Thursday that Sunday was going to be nice. I don't mind going on a date when it's raining just not a FIRST DATE

Way to go, Phillydude. Even if the weather isn't great next weekend, there will be plenty of festivities because of the holiday.

Philly is a good city for dating - walkable and has lot of free or low cost attractions.

Glad to hear the date went well, but why are you giving up your precious weekend time for a woman who hasn't proven herself? Consider all 1-10 dates on weeknights, drives em crazy wondering also.

Don't play games with good girls. Leave that for the others.

It's not playing games, my weekend time is precious until someone proves worth it. Til then they get Tues-Wed. The driving them crazy wondering is just a fringe benefit, not the reason it's done.

I actually thought she stood me up because when I walked in the cafe it was only like 3 people inside but she said she was in the bathroom. So while I was in line she approached me from behind.

I'm thinking she saw me before I walked in the cafe and went to the bathroom before I walked in and then came out.

Just flake, that's what a woman would do.

You weren't expecting much to happen on the date and you had no pressure. Those kind of dates usually turn out to be the best. Good for you.

You didn't sound too enthusiastic about this girl. Why lead her on?

Reasons I wasn't enthusiatic

1. stayed up to day break the previous night

2. It was a ugly day and chilly

3. I was a little nervous because she is my type

So all of that combined had me close to cancelling

Well, good that she is your type.It sounds likeyou both like each other. So, good luck! :) How did you guys meet?

Chilly? Are you kidding me? It wasn't chilly last night. :D
