Assuming you like the person who's holding your hand, do you like the gesture of taking someone's hand?

Does it make you bond with the person?

Do you attribute a meaning to it or would you hold hands with just a friend(of the opposite sex)?

Or do you dislike it? Do you feel like the other person decides where you are going?

I would love to hear some opinions on this!

I'd like it.

I enjoy it. I always hold my girlfriend's hand if we're walking along or something. It's nice :) Not quite sure if there's any meaning other than enjoying the closeness.

I can't imagine holding hands with someone who's just a friend though. I'd find that a bit weird.

I love to hold hands. Especially when my BF initiates it, I feel a nice warm glow.

Love it. Very intimate. Great way to feel connected in a non-sexual way which is inoffensive to other's sensibilities in public. Recommend. :)

Absolutely love it. I think it's one of those sweet little gestures that just doesn't get old.

It still makes me happy when my step-dad grabs my mom's hand while they're walking around, after being married for 19 years. Or when I see old couples walking down the beach, or after church, just holding hands and looking like they're very much in love still after all those years. It's just cute

I love it too. It's a wonderful privilege.

Love, Love, Love it!

Unfortunately no guy i've ever dated has ever liked it or done it past the first few dates:mad:

Love it. H. and I still do it.

But no, I wouldn't hold hands with a friend or family member of either gender except my son (which is a necessity since he's a runner!), unless it's to offer sympathy in the middle of a convo.
