Most people say that couples seeing each other much kills romance and excitement in a relationship. Then I ask myself how couples managed to stay married for 20 or more years, seeing each other every day and living together. What are your opinions on this?

Any opinions to share?

My parent's have been together for 20+ years.

Space is still needed in order to have a healthy relationship. My father works from 8AM-5PM, and when he gets home he has his own hobbies. My mother also has her own hobbies.

They spend time with each other, but they don't get in each other's space 24/7. They have free time to themselves.

Who says there's still romance and excitement after 20 years? Just because a marriage stays together doesn't mean there's romance and excitement.
