midkirby Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Since no one answered my previous text yet, probably because it was a long one. Basically we love each other, no doubt. He has only been divorced for a year, and we have been together for 7 months, but they were separated for a year prior to divorce. He was acting strange and couldn't agree to the NC, but he kept stating he was confused. Since he couldn't decide, I said we would not contact each other until he made up his mind about us. He is scared and repeatedly asks questions about a relationship that I had a few years ago that lasted for a year, which I left. Finally asked if I was engaged during that time. Anyway, we would only see each other on weekends, due to LDR. I haven't seen him in two weeks and during last week, only talked on phone once, compared to talking every night. It has now been two nights without a single text from him. The last text he sent, was stating that he loved me. I can't stand this NC stuff. I don't know how long to wait before I permanently split, because it is not fair to me. I need some advice. Please anyone. This is just too painful and I am actually in shock. From every weekend to no contact.....????
Popondetta Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 You two were together and then suddenly he's confused and doesn't know what he wants? That sounds very familiar to me (same thing happened,- my ex didn't know what he wanted and had commitment issues. I waited around for 3 months LC to see what he decided to do. After 3 months he still hadn't decided so I had to force him to make up his mind. He did what he felt was most right and that was to let go. Now, after 2,5 months NC, except one email, he wants to meet up and talk. I'm going to meet him this week) In my opinion going NC is the only way you can make them miss you and truly see if they want to be together or not.
nana841121 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Love is complicated . it's not a white or black issue. give them some time, cause you will lose nothing because of NC
