This girl was somewhat initiating hang-outs with me. She's OK looking in my eyes. Good girl. But I feel absolutely no sparks when I'm around her. You know the feeling?

I kinda backed off, and I think she has too... I would like to be just friends.

I want to be around a lady who will at least quicken my pulse a bit. I mean, if you're going to marry, you might as well marry someone you can connect with emotionally as well as physically.

If there is no spark to begin with, it's a sign not to go beyond friendship.

Last weekend I was at a wedding with an old childhood friend. Hadn't seen her for 5 years but I grew up with a mild crush on her. She is a very attractive bubbly type. I realized that night there were some sparks between me and her, we reconnected instantly.

Don't settle! I guess is my main point. If there are no sparks to begin with, it's really hard for that to change, I think especially from a male perspective. Females can change, but guys more often than not when they peg a girl into "potential" or "just friend" category -- it's pretty much finalized.
