I've tried it a couple of times in the past. I don't think it's worth the money. I think most of the very same people on Match are on Plentyoffish.com (which is totally free). I found it frustrating on Match because you might come across an interesting profile and write to that person but if their membership has expired or they never became a paying member (and therefore can't read mail or respond to it), you've wasted your time because you won't hear back from them.

i think match is the better of the dating sites out there, from the standpoint of a man. with the requirement to pay, you're at least assured that the obviously paying ones are in fact looking for dates, whereas on the free sites plenty of women are just interested in seeing how many emails they can generate for e-attention.

Isn't Okcupid now owned by Match dot com? You might want to give that one a try it is totally free.
