Sanman Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Who are Kesha and Nicki Minaj? Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I don't know? GOOD! They are pop stars (singer and a rapper)
Author Disillusioned Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 You can't argue with sanity, no matter what source it's coming from. In the world of dating, people do it all the time and win.
Sabali Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 This one: http://www.youtube.com/user/JennaMarbles#p/u/10/qQ9nykstdAE has made me a fan of this woman. That said, I hear people mocking her, but the the argument she gave was a solid one. She is entertaining but I am not sure if I would enjoy having her as a passenger in my car. I do give her props for putting herself out there with the whole ugly girl thing.
Els Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 (edited) The reason I don’t complain about women taking all my money is very simple, I don’t let them. Me and my gf split everything down the middle. When we first started going out even we split things. If you pay for her every time you go out and it isn’t equal that’s on you. Stop complaining and start rejecting people who just look good but are selfish. Precisely! It's absolutely hilarious to hear, really. 'Oh whine whine, those women 'take all my money'!' Yeah sure, they reached into your wallet and grabbed it, huh? Talk about evasion of responsibility for one's own decisions. That's the absolute ugliest attitude to have. Paying but doing it grudgingly and whining about it. It's exactly like a girl having sex with someone and then turning around and accusing him of raping her. Seriously, far better to just not pay. sanskrit Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Seriously, far better to just not pay. Let them eat cake, or rather... Yes, don't pay, and then risk the wrath of the massive "baby chick" slander network in one's community or peer group: CHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEPCHEEP For many men today, especially younger ones, brought up competing with women on an uneven playing field for the same school seats and jobs (especially uneven in fluff fields like marketing and HR that somehow pay as much as the people who do the real work make... and good luck getting on that gravy train if you have a penis), the decision to pay or not boils down to whether being emotionally blackmailed and slandered is worth just giving in and opening the wallet "because that's just the way it is, Mr. Man, and you better act like you like it," Despite this being 2011, many women still view their vagina as a magic money vacuum. The girl in the video knows it, and I know it.

A woman who hates dressing up will be judged for being 'a slob'. Should they then do what they don't wish to and then whine that they were 'made to do so'? The only person who can ever make you do anything is you, or the guy holding a gun to your head.
sumdude Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Chris Rock nailed it. Warning, foul language and laughter ahead.
Mimolicious Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Can't see the video from the link but is this the blond chick with purple nails that is saying about women wanting men to buy them clothes, bags, etc and yet want are part of the feminist movement, blah, blah, blah? She's like what? 17... I don't think she gets it either! I do agree with some of her points. I mean, women can buy their own stuff (for the ones that can) so what does it matter what a man can buy you? There are responsibilities that do come with a serious relationship though. I think this has gotten lost in translation though... We are mostly shown the "materialistic" side of women and we have been for centuries. BUT... You'll be surprised how many free loading dudes are really out there. Go sit at a family court room for a few hours and you'll see. How many women are struggling raising children with $50 a week (mandatory not willingly given) from the father, yet he is out ballin' buying strippers Gucci bags, wearing $200 shoes and driving a $50,000 car. Funny how people look through the kaleidoscope and only see one reflection.
Mimolicious Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 (edited) I sell myself to clients over the net mostly for 150-300 per hour, if they really want to see me, will gladly hook up the webcam (most don't thankfully). What's the diff? Does she show naughty bits? I'll do that too, gladly, much easier than drafting purchase agreements Admittedly, she needs to get herself a better set of fake eyelashes, the ones she has on are a bit much. :lmao::lmao: I saw this on my friends FB yesterday and said to myself. "HAS THIS CHICK EVER BRUSHED HER TONGUE?????????? IT LOOKS SUPER WHITE!" The funny thing is that most men out there will pay, buy, do anything to get with a female that they feel the need to impress. If you don't go dutch on the date bill, you probably will be the same dude making it rain on strippers after you drop off your date because she was stuck on princess. Given the gravity of the various "offenses," not paying for a first date is judged much more harshly by the "cheepcheep" network than frigid women or even slobs are judged by anyone. The threads in this forum are evidence of that. Giving into unfair, antiquated social convention due to threat of slander is a cost-benefit analysis, but in no way negates one's right to complain about the social convention in question. Or rather... The only person who can ever make you do anything is you, or the guy holding a gun to your head. Did you just invalidate several classes of rape? Interesting position. Be slandered or shell out the $100? Saying again whatever choice one makes in that situation has no bearing on their right to complain about the social underpinnings that force such a choice. None at all.

sanskrit Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 You live in a funny world if you think men who go dutch on dates are judged worse than a woman dressing 'sloppily' on dates or never putting out. How many threads have you seen here on LS posted by men complaining about women who dress in a sloppy fashion on a date? How many threads have you seen here on LS posted by men complaining that their GF is not putting out? How many threads have you seen here on LS where a guy complains about the double standard in paying for women and many of the female posters start in on "men who are cheap" as not being gentlemen, chivalrous, or even "real men?" It runs about 5:1 "who pays" threads versus the other two types (and of the thousands of threads I've read here, haven't ever seen a "sloppy dressing woman" thread, I'm sure it's been done, just haven't ever seen it myself).
sanskrit Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I don't know any women like this - do I live in an alternate universe? Really? Do you read what people post on LS? "You men rule the business world, but we women rule the sex world, at least here in America. And we rule that you have to kiss our asses to get us in your lives or you we'll be with those who do, not you. And you can give us all your explanations about who drives half-way and who pays what, but if you forgot your wallet (in your pants), you ain't getting anything from us - EVER! Did I make it clear: ever. You only have one chance with us. And feel free to ignore this advice: makes it easier for us to weed out the cheap ones!" Posted a few days ago in a thread started by a woman who was hesitant to meet a guy halfway geographically for the first date.

Judging can be done in many other ways, often more hurtful, than posting on forums... TBH LS is the one and only place I have even ever SEEN men seriously whining about being 'made' to pay for girls. The guys I know IRL either do it happily or don't. If you really want an LS example, go count the number of men complaining about not getting sex from their gf, and the support that they get.
Woggle Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 She does have a point about women who whine about the sexual double standard but forget about all the double standards in their favor.
Els Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 She does have a point about women who whine about the sexual double standard but forget about all the double standards in their favor. True. Some of the guys on here are doing the exact same thing though.
tigressA Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I'm with Dust. If you have a problem with being the one in the relationship to pay for everything, then just don't. There are plenty of people out there who will be happy to split everything down the middle with you. If you're tired of going on a first date and seeing the 'blank look' when the check comes, make it clear before the date that you go dutch. Guys who complain about women acting like entitled princesses are letting women act like entitled princesses. It's the same with women complaining about guys not being chivalrous--they let them act like jerkoffs.

Though the last girl pretended to enjoy paying while slowly festering with rage at having to do it. Maybe I am better off just finding out on date 1 and not seeing them again. Seems there is no good way to screen.

Author Disillusioned Posted May 21, 2011 Author Posted May 21, 2011 True. Some of the guys on here are doing the exact same thing though. I won't argue with that. I have my Realdoll, but I still find a lot of room for improvement in the ways I've known single women to behave.
