nowwhatnow Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 can a second chance only happen if the dumper contacts the dumpee? i have no contact with my ex-bf for 8 months because i have been away and although he tried to contact me before i left, i left without telling him. with my return on the horizon i want to see him when i get back. does his lack of contact signify no possibility of a second chance? or was he upset that i left without telling him. i have gone through a lot these past 8 months and i am ready to forgive him and try again - but i do not know where he is at. what do you guys think? (honesty appreciated)

Do you still love him? etc he out of the blue broke up with me. he said he was confused and seemed to be having some sort of personal crisis. he said that it was an amazing relationship and he regrets nothing. i do not think he is in another relationship and yes, yes i still love him
Popondetta Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Haha! Sounds like my ex/breakup. If you want to contact him then I say go for it! Write him a short email and ask if he wants to catch up for a coffee or something simple.. The worst thing that could happen is him saying no, and I guess that after 8 months you'll be strong enough to deal with a possible no. The way I see it you have nothing to loose. (If you meet up, be friendly and easy going. Focus on the positive things you have done for yourself since the breakup and don't mention the breakup unless he does).
