vsmini Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Ex and I broke up over 9 months ago and he comes into my work (outpatient hospital setting) every so often to say hi to his friends. Trick is - he used to work there. He hasn't worked there for over 6 months now and technically he isn't even allowed in the back clinic areas as it's only for staff and/or patients. We had an awful breakup and while I don't feel unsafe with him being there, I just feel very creeped out by it. - I am incredibly anxious every morning wondering if today will be the day he decides to stop by and visit. I'm trying to maintain NC and he does come around every so often and try to bait me to talk but I always make sure I walk in the other direction. I feel like a restraining order is too over the top, not to mention, I'm not even sure if I could get a restraining order in this case. What are my options? Ideas? I love my job and I am not willing to transfer or quit because this wack job thinks it's fun to "stop by" to talk to other staff and doctors.
usabup Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Tell your manager in confidence how you feel. They will stop him from turning up like he has been.
collegeguy_24 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Just by reading your post, I don't think he is doing anything wrong. You say he shows up to talk to his friends, whats wrong with that? Its not like he is stalking you and staring at you intently. He's smiling and laughing with friends.
