My first love of three years cheated on me couple months before he fully let me go last year around this time. It broke my heart because i admired him like no other and i really thought we'd be together for a very long time. Anyway that was over a year ago , we did maintain no contact for 3 months then i msged him and we had casual contact till about 3 months ago we got into a little argument and he said he couldnt take me anymore so i initiated no contact back in feb 2011. During this whole year i have been working on me, trying to get my money back since i wasted alot on him by working and finding jobs that i love and also dating. So last night at 1 am whilst i was doing some reading i got a message saying i just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing..with his name at the bottom..however the number was unfamiliar to me...so i woke up this morning and texted him back saying hey which (insert his common name because i know many people with that name) is this because i dont know this number. But im doing great thanks. I havent heard back from him..what are your thoughts?

Author Livelovelearn Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 well im not 100% sure its him because i live in toronto and the area code of that number is something ive never seen before also he has the name of alot of previous co workers ive worked with so it could be them ttoo...so just to make sure i just asked which one was it...and to me i dont think its a big mistake only because i dont want him back bbut he was a big part of my life and if we were to stay friends thats fine because after the on and off contact during the past year i realized its too stressful and theres someone else that i like and he treats me so well....id also like to say i forgiven but i havent forgotten and for the most part im really happy now (without him which i thought id never say)
TaraMaiden Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Still a mistake. If it was him, he'll try again. If it wasn't him, it doesn't matter. Don't play so easy to snag. Remember, you're seeing it from your own self-assured convincing PoV. He may not be seeing it like you do.......
